After a busy morning at work and two hours long trip by train around noon, we arrived in Shimo-Imaichi station in the afternoon (15:00~).
From there, we rented a car as it’s much easier to travel around Nikko and gives us more liberty than the buses.
We started to head to the famous Kegon Falls, one of the biggest fall around Nikko.
There are at least two parking arounds (not free) and we go to the fall’s basement via an elevator that was built in 1930 and takes us 100m lower.
From there, you can enjoy a cooler weather (appreciated during the hot summer) and a nice view:

Then we headed to Ryuzu Falls by the Lake Chuzenji.

Finally, we dropped by Yudaki Waterfall, south of Yuno Lake and arrived at our hotel in Okunikko around 17:30 where we enjoyed the relaxing Yumoto Onsen hot springs.
